PostSubject: Issues with Airports............   Issues with Airports............ EmptyWed Sep 01, 2010 8:57 am

Hello EG Team,

many successful landings at local airports in Blake Sea, it apprears tonight was not so eventful . During landing , I lagged as my computer started doing a virus scan . My landing at hollywood not successful LOL . When I landed - I accidently bumped into a person on the airfeild , and there is talks about a BAN on some airports for the large aircraft.

With that being said , I appoligized and paid te parton for his troubles , however I am concenred that this might be a fire starter.

What Airports are user friendly and wil accept the DC 10 landing besides NHAF?

Hello

Let me explain something first: The actual floor space DC10 takes is not bigger then many aircrafts in sl. The non-phantom part of the plane corresponds to the width of the main gear (from right to left). This means that the act of hitting someone with the DC10 could have happened with a Cessna or a Piper Cub just the same.

Secondly, The only difference between the DC 10 and another aircraft are the number of prims forming the attachments. So apart from the time of rezzing, the lag it causes is much lower than many badly scripted planes in SL.

I think the airport on the sim Kangchenjunga, and Acknefar or Santa Catalina should be able to receive the DC10 without any problem.

I will ask the other tenants of the airport to see if landing there is a problem.

But to my knowledge there is no valid reason why this aircraft would not be allowed to land, its footprint not being more important than a Falcon or a B25 ...

I wish you good flight and a blue skies ...

I saw a Concorde take off from Santa Catalina. Surely the DC-10 does not take up more space than that beast?
